See in the collectionThe Poplars of the Boussod, Valadon et Cie books, sold to Denys Cochin on 25 October 1892 for 6,500 francs[1]. The Wildenstein catalogue, no. 1156, follows it from Monet to Boussod, Valadon in 1892, to Denys Cochin the same year, to Durand-Ruel in 1897, then to Martin Ryerson, who bequeathed it in 1933 to the Art Institute of Chicago, which let it go in 1947[2, 3].
