See in the collectionJean-Paul Crespelle, in 1962, counts among the collectors of the Fauves “Baron Denys Cochin, whose bedroom contained an ivory Christ and a Van Dongen”, between Fénéon and Wilhelm Uhde; he also puts him among the readers of the first numbers of the Nouvelle Revue française, with Vallotton, Marval, Romain Coolus and Tristan Bernard, and among the buyers, with the deputy Marcel Sembat and Auguste Pellerin[1]. The picture is not named; the family’s list counts one Van Dongen[2].
