The family’s writings

Nine Cochins published, over two and a half centuries: the pleadings of Henri, advocate at the Parlement, the sermons of Jean-Denis, curé of Saint-Jacques-du-Haut-Pas, the account of Claude-Denys, the infant-school manuals of Jean-Denis-Marie, then the books of Augustin, Denys, Henry, the second Augustin and Claude[1, 2]. Here are their books as three digital libraries give them: the HathiTrust catalogue has three hundred and two records under the name Cochin[1], Gallica and its partner libraries six hundred and twenty-two[2], the Internet Archive about a hundred[3]. Namesakes, the engravers Cochin among them, are left out; every title leads to the library’s record, readable in full or searchable only[1]. Wikisource adds the articles of the Revue des Deux Mondes it has transcribed, five by Augustin, ten by Denys and four by Henry, readable in full[4].

82 books, 66 of them readable in full online, and 18 articles of the Revue des Deux Mondes. A title opens the book when a library gives it to read; under it, every copy: a blue link opens a text to read, a dashed blue one a text HathiTrust gives to read from the United States only, a grey one a record where one can only search for a word. Other reviews and parliamentary speeches are not yet listed.
