
Known as Benoist d’Angers, a banker and diplomat, he was a deputy for Maine-et-Loire under the Restoration and a minister of State in 1828. He married the painter Marie-Guillemine Laville-Leroux.
Count Pierre-Vincent Benoist died in December 1834: the inventory after his death, at 27 rue Saint-Dominique, is dated 15 December[1].
